YOU MOVE INTO A NEW HOUSE AND FIND THAT SOMEONE ELSE IS ALREADY LIVING THERE - SOMEONE  YOU CAN'T SEE. NOW WHAT DO YOU DO? MOVE?

Even a new house can have a ghost in it. I believe that I lived in such a place. When in between homes, we spent a year in a brand new house. It smelled so great, clean and new. But the basement had a dark feel to it. For a time, my one son moved into my basement. It wasn't long before he heard footsteps walking around his bed late at night. His girlfriend had too. Another night, his light bulb exploded in the ceiling. He was really freaked out and moved into his own apartment.

When by myself in the house, I often felt a cold chill and that silly little shiver slipping over my spine that people claim when being around spirits. But I ignored it, refusing to let it get to me.

My other adult son stayed with us for a couple of weeks. He was sleeping on the living room floor. My office was just across from the living room, but my back faced the doorway. One morning, I was working on my computer. From the living room, my son was snoring in low raspy breaths. This went on for quite some time. I finally  got up and went in to wake him up to see why he hadn't left for work. My jaw dropped. He wasn't in the room. In fact, he had already left an hour earlier. No one was in the house with me. But I was never truly alone. We finally moved out. I still miss the brand new smell of the house, but not the sinister presence lurking there.

This wasn't the first time, I have experienced the paranormal. In fact, since a child I have had paranormal experiences. This continued into my teens and then adult hood. Some of the encounters were terrifying, others spectacular. Unless you have it happen to you, it might be hard to believe in something you can't see. But I can attest that the spirit world is real. Spiritual battles are all around us. And Divine Intervention is your only hope..

MY BAR AREA

Ever since, I started working at the Pennhurst Haunt in Spring City, Pennsylvania, my photos often have orbs in them. Now this was common at the Pennhurst haunt. But not at my house. This was a recent pic in my bar area. If you look closely, you will see an orb above the bar, near the spiraling staircase. To date, orbs and shadows appear in my pictures. Recently, a guitar in my house was heard playing when no one was in the room. Closet doors will also open and shut.

My Book GHOST OF MAYFLOWER is my testimony of working in the Mayflower  building and the paranormal experiences I witnessed.

If you would like to take a peek of what it was like to work in a haunted building, check out my book GHOSTS OF MAYFLOWER and come visit the haunt yourself in 2013.

Who doesn’t love a good ghost story? I jumped at the chance to read this book. Ghosts of Mayflower takes us into the firsthand experiences of the author’s time as an Halloween attraction orderly for the Mayflower Building at Pennhurst Asylum, located in Spring City, Pennsylvania. This is the same haunted location that The Ghosthunters filmed their 2011 Halloween special. For good reason, the paranormal experiences are frequent and quite impressive.

I enjoyed the way the author presented this book over a couple of months and documented the shift days, personal experiences, candid conversations, people who work at the now Pennhurst Halloween attraction, tons of guests, and of course ghostly apparitions along with a some things that go bump in the night. I won’t give away any spoilers because it’s such a fun ghost story read. If I had any complaints, it would be that I wanted to learn more about the history of the location, but that in no way takes away from the book.

This is a great, short read. You could read a chapter or two at a time, or devour the entire book on a stormy Saturday afternoon like I did. Highly recommend.

HALLOWEEN can be a time for fun. But it can also bring about the unexpected. After working at Pennhurst Asylum, located in Spring City, Pennsylvania, I picked up a lot of weird images on my camera. To date, the picture below is the strangest. If you read GHOSTS OF MAYFLOWER - A PENNHURST HAUNTING, I'm sure you are familiar with Shadow man. Could this be him in my driveway?

I took this picture October , 2011 around 7:00 am. The sun wasn't over the house yet. The front yard was in shadows. I was at the end of my driveway, snapping the last couple of pictures with my disposable camera. When enlarged, it almost appears like some kind of skull head. The rest of the film was just fine. Could something from the Pennhurst Asylum have followed me home?
